Writing Exercise to Manifest What You Want

Let’s say there’s an outcome that you’re worried about. You find yourself concerned about how a project will turn out, how a presentation will go or something wrong in your life that you’d like to fix and don’t know how. Here’s a powerful method to get clear on what you want and manifest it into reality.

What is manifesting?

Manifesting is putting out positive thoughts, intentions and vibrations about what you want in order for the Universe to give it to you when the time is right. Often, we want instant gratification: we want something and we want it now. What is often helpful to remember is that there are forces in action beyond our control. The Law of Attraction says that if we keep operating from a place of lack, then we will stay in a place of lack or not having enough. When we operate from the place of feeling and believing that we already have what we want, then we are ready to receive it. It says that we can’t attract and receive what we want if we’re unclear about it.

How do I get clear about what I want to manifest?

Take the situation you are worried about and write a thank you letter about the desired outcome. For example, if you’re worried about a presentation, write a thank you letter to your audience for being so attentive, welcoming and asking great questions. Or write a letter to yourself, expressing gratitude for your strong voice, poised posture and clear points. Then get specific about the clear points you made. The more detail you can provide for how you want something to go, the better.

How does the manifesting happen?

Once you’ve put it out there into the Universe, act from a place where you believe what you want is already in existence. So if you’re worried about your speech, see if you can adjust your anxious thought to a hopeful thought instead. Recall what you wrote in your thank you letter and sense what if feels like for those things to happen. You’ll notice changes in your body, mind and attitude.

This is one helpful tool you can practice in coaching or between sessions. If you try it out, let me know how it goes!
